Heidi Billington has been practicing law in Georgia since 2007. Her legal career has been solely focused on the area of real estate where she has handled both residential and commercial closings as well as represented lenders in various matters including mortgage default and foreclosure, REO sales, title review and issue resolution, loan modifications, deeds in lieu and short sales.
Heidi was previously a Partner at a real estate law firm where she co-managed the mortgage default practice group and then subsequently ran the closing practice group; ultimately having responsibility for the management of the closing team and oversight of the closing process. Heidi has served as an expert on industry panels and has been active in the local Mortgage Bankers Association and local Boards of Realtors. She previously served on MBAG’s Board of Directors, co-chaired the Commercial Property Group and participated on the Lend-A-Hand and Legislative Committees.
Heidi earned her Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 2004 and her law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007. She is a member of the real estate section of the State Bar of Georgia as well as the State Bar of Tennessee and State Bar of Mississippi. Heidi grew up in the South and currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband and two young daughters.
