David Cheng is originally from the inner city in the south side of Chicago. David graduated cum laude from Mercer University School of Law in 2012. An avid enthusiast of international affairs, he has taken classes in Chinese/Legal Studies at Harvard and the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing.
In 2011, he clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office in Chattanooga, TN. He has published works on race relations in America, racial disparities in capital sentencing, and protecting children against parents’ extreme religious indoctrination practices. In addition to managing his solo law office, he serves as of counsel to a multi-service law firm in downtown Atlanta.
In conjunction with other Atlanta law firms, he also works extensively in real estate law. He has been appointed by the State Bar of Georgia President to the Georgia Bar Journal Editorial Board for a 3-year term (2014-2017).
