James M. Ottley is a real estate lending attorney specializing in SBA loan closings, conventional commercial closings and residential loan closings.
A fourth generation Atlantan, Mr. Ottley lives with his son William in Smyrna, just outside of Atlanta. Mr. Ottley is a graduate of The Westminster Schools in Atlanta. He received his B.A. in English from Duke University and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Georgia School of Law.
Mr. Ottley is an active member of the Downtown Atlanta Kiwanis Club (serving currently as President-elect). Mr. Ottley published two books on Atlanta history, entitled “Atlanta History for Cocktail Parties,” and “Atlanta
History for Cocktail Parties II – Another Round”. When not closing loans, Mr. Ottley enjoys travelling around the state of Georgia seeking out cool and unique places, digging up history, and spending time in the great outdoors with his 11 year old son, Will.
